Participants will receive a journal to reflect and record their experiences after the workshop.
It's not about gathering information - it's more about celebrating small wins and how touch can create deeper connections for carers and families.
To support and inspire other families,
participants will also be invited to share extracts from their journal for future publication - as well as being a guest on our
Touching Moments
podcast.
How We Work
Memory Clouds wellbeing workshops are designed to give carers the opportunity to relax, share and be part of a supportive and safe environment. Participants are encouraged to speak openly, share experiences and focus on their own wellbeing, while gaining gentle, therapeutic tools to support both themselves and the person they care for.
Who It's For
These sessons are a dedicated space exclusively for family members and carers to relax, feel comfortable with others in similar situations and benefit from the therapetuic effects of gentle touch. We kindly ask, therefore, that loved ones living with dementia do not attend.
We understand that stepping away from a loved one can be difficult, so each workshop is thoughtfully designed to last around 2½ hours, making it easier for carers to take part while being away for a short and manageable periods.
Working Together
CareClouds is working with Southend-on-Sea City Council's Big Sparks initiative, to make Southend a healthier, happier and safer place.
We're supporting 50 family members/carers across 10 free workshops - limited spaces available.
